Our Training Options

Technical Training and Professional Development

Arrow

Vertix Systems provides technical training and professional development for architects, designers, specifiers, contractors, builders and other construction professionals working with high-performance roof and wall systems.

Our training combines technical knowledge with practical experience and covers important aspects of modern building design, including moisture management, low U-value roof build-ups, designing with Integrated Solar PV and metal standing seam roofing.

We currently provide two types of training courses. In addition to our RIBA Approved CPD seminars, we offer a practical 1-day EasySeam System Installation training course to help develop the knowledge and skills required to achieve high-quality installations.

RIBA Approved CPD Seminars

Vertix Systems is a member of the RIBA CPD Providers Network, providing CPD seminars designed to give architects and construction professionals practical, relevant knowledge that can be applied to real-world projects.

Our RIBA Approved CPDs have been through a rigorous review process and focus on areas where careful design and specification can have a significant impact on building performance, durability, energy efficiency and occupant comfort.

Using Roof Build-ups to Manage Moisture in Low U-Value Buildings

As buildings become increasingly energy efficient, achieving low U-values often means more complex and highly insulated construction build-ups. Effective moisture management is therefore an increasingly important design consideration.

This RIBA Approved CPD explores the causes and risks of moisture within building fabric and considers how roof build-ups can be designed to manage condensation and moisture effectively.

As we move towards low-carbon construction and tighter energy performance requirements, Solar PV is no longer an optional technology. It’s rapidly becoming an integral part of any residential design.

This RIBA Approved CPD examines the key considerations when designing with Integrated Solar PV on a metal Standing Seam Roof, balancing technical performance, regulatory compliance, architectural quality and long-term building performance.

Technical Support from Vertix Systems

Training is just one part of the technical support available from Vertix Systems. Our experienced team can provide guidance through the design, specification and installation process, including material selection, detailing, insulation build-ups, U-value requirements, condensation risk, Solar PV integration and installation advice.

We also have a range of technical guides, design details, technical data sheets and other useful resources available in the Downloads area.

What our clients say

“We’re absolutely  delighted with our new extension which was built using SIP Panels clad with Vertix EasySeam Roof and Wall Systems. Once footings were in place, the build was watertight within 4 days and the full project was completed in just 4 weeks. As sister companies, SIPCo and Vertix Systems were able to collaborate on our project and deliver to plan. Our builders attended the free Installation Training Course in South Wales that Vertix Systems provides and installed the roof themselves, rather than adding another contractor to the project. We considered render and brick slips for the walls, but chose EasySeam Soffit profile as it was more cost effective and provided the clean, modern look we were after. Having registered the Confidex Home Guarantee that comes with EasySeam System when Colorcoat Prisma from Tata Steel is used, we’re covered for 25 years and have peace of mind that our extension will look just as good in years to come.”

Homeowner

Urban Cheshire Family Home Extension
“The house looks amazing, especially the roof! We chose Vertix EasySeam System because we really liked the finish. It looks like a quality product and in our opinion much smarter than other products.  A standing seam roof was one of our must haves on the list when designing the house and we love how it looks with the timber cladding and in its surroundings.”

Homeowner

Rural Shropshire New Build House
“My builder has used Vertix EasySeam System on several other builds and seeing the product and customers being so satisfied was a great recommendation. I wanted the contemporary roofing and the larch timber cladding walls on the new builds to contrast with the traditional stone cottage with lime rendered walls and slate roofing. The speed with which my builder was able to fit EasySeam Roof System on both the extension and outbuilding was seriously impressive, especially when compared with the process needed for the slate roofing on the main house. The finish looks amazing. The 25 year Confidex Home Guarantee that came with EasySeam Roof System also gives additional reassurance.”

Homeowner

Rural Cardigan Stone Cottage Extension
“We’ve been very pleased with the service and support we’ve received from Vertix Systems. They helped us know about and decide on EasySeam Roof System, its colour and the addition of integrated solar panels. I attended the 1 day installation training together with a colleague and the business gave us support configuring the various parts when putting fitting the roof.”

Homeowner

Forest of Dean Barn Conversion

“We used Vertix EasySeam System for both roof and wall on a recent project and were really pleased both with the quality of the product and the support offered by Vertix Systems. They were very easy to deal with and told us what we needed for the project, addressing any technical questions we had. The ordering process was then straightforward and easy to get through. Once on site, the EasySeam System was simple to fit and roof and wall compliment each other well. Our client is over the moon and really likes the sleek and modern look the EasySeam System in matt dark grey has given their home. They’re really pleased we chose Vertix Systems for their project and so are we.”

Rob Edwards JNR Construction

“We used Vertix EasySeam Roof System to re-clad a flat roof kitchen and garage extension that had failed and looked unsightly. We also took the opportunity to wrap the exterior kitchen walls in insulation and fit EasySeam soffit boards over this. The technical support we received was second to none and the ordering process was easy. Both the soffit boards and standing seam were straightforward to install and have given our home a more contemporary appearance- mixing old and new beautifully. The neighbours are so impressed they want to use EasySeam System on their property!”
