Contact UsPhil is responsible for overseeing the company’s commercial operations and driving growth. He develops and implements sales strategies, builds relationships with key clients and support all functions of the business where needed.
Phil has worked in the steel industry for over 20 years, beginning his career at Tata Steel. His expertise is mainly associated with the pre-finished steel products that Vertix Systems uses to manufacture its standing seam systems.
As well as spending time enjoying the outdoors with his family when the weather is good, Phil enjoys playing rugby (during the winter months) and watching sport.
Gordon focuses on developing new product systems and applications, new clients and business, building a strong installation contractor base and providing commercial and technical support on larger projects.
Gordon has both engineering and business qualifications and was responsible for developing and leading Colorcoat Urban whilst at Tata Steel, the first pre-finished steel standing seam business focused on residential applications. He has over 18 years metal standing seam experience and has found solutions to every issue and query that’s ever come up on a project. This includes developing a metal standing seam solution for non-combustible walls which has become the industry standard
Gordon enjoys sailing on the Mersey (weather permitting) and kicking a ball about once a week as part of a 5-a-side team that’s been playing regularly for many years.
Gareth assists customers and specifiers with technical queries and provides advice. He produces technical drawing details to support the design and installation process. He also runs a monthly EasySeam System Installation Training course for contractors and self-builders, to help build practical skills and ensure installations can meet the highest standards. Gareth also works on testing and accreditation requirements for the business and its systems.
Gareth is a time served Mechanical Engineer who has worked within the steel industry for almost 30 years, with 12 years specifically focused on metal standing seam for roof and wall cladding.
Gareth enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing golf and supporting his local rugby team. He’s also a keen property renovator.
Bethan is responsible for growing sales of EasySeam® Systems and building strong relationships with clients to support delivery of this.
Bethan has over 10 years sales experience, most recently with Tata Steel & Catnic Urban in the metal standing seam market.
Bethan enjoys the outdoors hiking, skiing and paddle boarding as well as foreign travel, Italy being a favourite destination. When at home she tends to her sourdough starter ‘Khal Doughgo’, which often ends up in the hands of friends and family who love a fresh bake!
James is the commercial lead for all Solar PV related roofing enquiries, aligning technical solutions with client objectives to maximise project value and long-term partnerships.
James has over 20 years sales experience in foodservice, wholesale, tech, and most recently renewable energy sectors, with a particular focus on relationship led growth.
James loves being outdoors whenever he can, walking, exploring the countryside, getting fresh air to reset or supporting his children with their sports. Most importantly, he values quality time with his family and feels it’s what keeps him grounded and motivated.
Kieron’s main role is providing an initial estimated cost for customer projects, based on drawings, measurements or sketches provided by them. As a Sales Estimator he crosses paths with most customers, being their first point of contact and often their last, from an initial estimate to final order delivery.
Before joining Vertix Systems, Kieron spent more than 5 years working at builders merchants and brings with him a wealth of knowledge.
In his spare time Kieron likes camping, beach days and learning German!
Liza is responsible for supporting smooth communication across departments, ensuring timely and accurate customer service through quote and order coordination. She also contributes to efficient logistics and production planning and plays a key role in maintaining compliance across Vertix Systems.
Liza has a degree in Entrepreneurship, Trade, and Exchange Activities and is currently working towards a Masters in Management and Administration. She has several years experience as a Business Administrator in the Construction industry, providing a strong foundation in operations, planning, accounting and cross-functional coordination. Liza has a proven ability to maintain high standards and contribute to business efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Liza enjoys yoga, the gym and tennis and pursues a healthy and active lifestyle.
She loves creating art in her spare time.
Ryan’s main role is providing customer with an estimated cost for their proposed project, based on drawings and dimensions provided by them. He is also a point of contact for customers, providing support and answering any technical questions they may have at different stages of the project.
Ryan has recently joined Vertix Systems having completed and passed a 2 year Construction and the Built Environment course.
Ryan plays football for two teams and likes going to the gym.
Joe is responsible for managing procurement and systems, and for ensuring quality standards are consistently met. He helps the business to run efficiently, streamlining supplier processes and maintaining high-quality standards.
Joe has a production and fabrication background and as well as giving him practical insight, this experience helps him manage procurement and quality effectively, ensuring systems and suppliers meet real operational needs.
When not at work, Joe can often be found firmly planted on the sofa, binge-watching whatever series has caught his fancy. To counter this, he makes regular trips to the gym.
Grace assists with day-to-day finance operations for Vertix Systems, including processing invoices, reconciling accounts and supporting the central Finance team. Her role helps ensure smooth financial operations, accurate record-keeping, and timely reporting, which supports business decision-making and helps to maintain trust with customers and suppliers.
Grace has completed AAT Level 2 in Accounting and is studying for Level 3. This has equipped her with a solid understanding of financial processes and principles, including costing, book-keeping, and financial reporting. She also has hands-on experience using accounting software and supporting core finance functions.
Outside of work, Grace enjoys staying active and spending time with family and friends. She has a strong interest in developing further and often dedicates her free time to building new skills and expanding her knowledge in areas that support both her career and personal growth.
